Panel Discussion: Building Bridges Between Trucking and Law Enforcement
With the emergence of new and evolving highway safety hazards, it is critical that the trucking industry and law enforcement develop tools, programs, and resources to mutually support one another. This panel, featuring members of ATA’s recently formed Law Enforcement Advisory Board, will discuss strategies to strengthen trucking’s relationship with the law enforcement community and enhance our shared commitment to highway safety.

Tony Bradley is the President and Chief Executive Officer for the Arizona Trucking Association and the Executive Director for the Arizona Trucking Association Foundation. Tony has more than 24 years of experience in public policy, government relations, and public affairs.
Fred Fakkema joined Zonar after 25 years with the Washington State Patrol (WSP). During his time with the WSP, he commanded the WSP Academy, Government and Relations Division, as well as the Commercial Vehicle Division.
As Chief Executive Officer, Darren Hawkins leads Yellow Corporation, a $5.1 billion North American trucking company that operates the nation’s second largest less-than-truckload network.
Chris Hemmen has worked for the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) for 29 years. He currently holds the rank of Major and serves as the Operational Commander and Chief of Staff for the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Task Force (CVETF).
Janice Mulanix joined PrePass Safety Alliance as the West Coast Regional Director in 2018 after spending nearly 30 years with the California Highway Patrol.
